Step into a world of culture, flavour, and twilight magic on the Deadly After Dark Sunset Cruise, an immersive Indigenous experience that blends storytelling, ceremony, and cuisine beneath the stars.
Departing Cairns at sunset, embark on a tranquil 15-minute guided cruise across Trinity Inlet, gliding through mangrove-lined waterways as the colours of dusk paint the sky. Arriving at the Mandingalbay Indigenous Protected Area (IPA), you’ll be welcomed with a traditional Mandingalbay Yidinji smoking ceremony — an ancient ritual of cleansing and connection to Country.
As night falls, indulge in seasonal tropical canapés crafted with local and Indigenous ingredients, complemented by freshly made non-alcoholic mocktails. The evening unfolds at the award-winning, off-grid Stingray Shelter, a stunning architectural venue set deep in the wilderness — the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable cultural encounter.
Throughout the 1.5-hour experience, your Mandingalbay Yidinji hosts share stories of their land, heritage, and living culture, leaving you enriched, inspired, and connected to this ancient place. Return to Cairns under a moonlit sky, reflecting on an evening of beauty, authenticity, and belonging.
