Experience the very best of the Great Barrier Reef in one unforgettable day as you visit two incredible destinations — the tropical paradise of Green Island and the world-famous Outer Reef. This full-day adventure blends relaxation, exploration, and discovery, perfect for both swimmers and non-swimmers.
Your journey begins with a 45-minute catamaran cruise from Cairns to Green Island, a stunning coral cay formed over 6,000 years. With two hours of free time, you can snorkel straight from the beach, stroll beneath the rainforest canopy, or simply relax on the island’s soft white sands. Optional activities such as scuba diving and Seawalker helmet diving are also available.
Next, cruise to Great Adventures’ spacious Outer Reef platform for an afternoon of reef exploration. Dive or snorkel among spectacular coral gardens teeming with marine life, or stay dry and admire the underwater world from the semi-submersible or the underwater observatory. A hot and cold buffet lunch is served onboard, featuring fresh local ingredients, followed by tea, coffee, cheese, and biscuits on the return cruise.
With five hours total on the reef and a wide range of experiences to suit every traveller, this is the ultimate Great Barrier Reef day tour — combining the beauty of a tropical island with the wonder of the Outer Reef.
