End Location: Great Adventures, 1 Spence St, Cairns, QLD, 4870, AU- What to bring: Swimming costume, lycra suit if you have one (they are available for hire), beach towel, hat, sunscreen and comfortable shoes. Spending money for drinks, souvenirs and optional activities.Conditions: Child rates apply for 4-14 years. Infants 0-3 years travel free of charge. Family rates apply for 2 adults and 2 children. All schedules, activities and prices may be varied without notice. Snorkelling can be a strenuous activity. Please use caution and inform our crew of any medical conditions. Wheelchair facilities are available; however, there are some restrictions, and some mobility may be required. For travel to Green Island, there may be a few steps at the end of the gangway onto the jetty, depending on tide levels and the narrow gangways used when disembarking. To board the glass bottom boat, there are some steps into this vessel, and some mobility will be required. Green Island does have disabled toilet facilities and boardwalk pathways in the day visitor facilities that are easy for wheelchairs to access. There is also a boardwalk that takes you directly through the rainforest into the centre of the Island. A beach wheelchair is available from the Lifeguards to access the beach. It is not a flotation device and is only for use on the beach. A carer must be responsible and in attendance at all times. Please contact our office for further information. The glass-bottom boat is only accessible via a number of steps. Optional extras: Lunch, Seawalker, Boat Snorkel Trip, Scenic helicopter flight, 1 or 2 Green Island Cert Dive and 1 or 2 Green Island Intro Dive, Marineland Melanesia, beach hire and parasailing.

Scuba dive, join a snorkel excursion, and even walk underwater with Seawalker helmet diving. For an exhilarating topside perspective of the reef, there’s parasailing and scenic helicopter flights too! There’s even the Marineland Melanesia Crocodile Habitat with daily crocodile shows.
You can choose from 2 departure times from Cairns and Green Island.
08:00 or 10:00: Check in at the Great Adventures Reservations Counter inside the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal to obtain your boarding pass. Vessel boarding. Complimentary tea & coffee served until departure.
08:30 or 10:30: Depart for Green Island. A snorkelling demonstration and a Green Island Eco video presentation are shown en route to Green Island.
09:15 or 11:15: Arrive at Green Island
Glass Bottom Boat Tour as scheduled: Book your tour time onboard with the crew or visit the Information Counter on the island. Glass bottom boat tours depart from the bend in the jetty.
Activities at leisure:
Snorkelling Equipment: Your snorkelling equipment can be collected from the island Dive Shop. Snorkelling equipment includes a mask, snorkel and fins. Buoyancy vests and optical masks are available for hire.
A self-guided Eco Island Walk booklet can be obtained from the Information Counter.
Swim and snorkel directly from the lifeguard-patrolled beach or take a dip in the Day Visitor Swimming Pool.
Lunch and refreshments can be purchased from the island restaurant and food outlets.
