Embark on a gourmet journey through the Atherton Tablelands, where lush rainforests meet golden savannah plains, and every stop offers a new taste sensation. This full-day culinary adventure celebrates the region’s volcanic soils, rich farmlands, and passionate producers who craft some of Queensland’s finest food, wine, and spirits.

Start your day at Rainforestation Nature Park in Kuranda, where a fresh tropical breakfast of local fruits, wattle seed damper, homemade jams, and rainforest coffee sets the tone. Continue to Mountain Groves Distillery for a sampling of handcrafted liqueurs before indulging in a sweet treat at Emerald Creek Ice Creamery.

The food adventure continues at The Humpy, a local favourite brimming with tropical fruits, roasted nuts, sauces, and preserves, followed by a gourmet lunch at The Australian Platypus Park. Here you’ll enjoy smoked meats such as crocodile, Red Claw, and kangaroo, paired with local craft beverages including dragon fruit cider and lemon myrtle tea.

After lunch, sample tropical fruit wines before heading to Gallo Dairyland to taste handmade cheeses and chocolates straight from the farm. Visit Mt. Uncle Distillery, North Queensland’s first and most awarded distillery, to enjoy premium spirits made with native botanicals.

Finish your day at the serene Platypus Hut, a private 160-acre property where you can relax with a glass of Queensland wine or craft beer as you soak in the tranquil rainforest surroundings. With scenic drives, local hospitality, and unforgettable flavours, this is the ultimate tasting tour from Port Douglas.
